Homepage – inspirations for keeping your baby

HAVING AN ABORTION IS NOT A DECISION YOU WOULD EVER FEEL GOOD ABOUT.

-Please do NOT underestimate how crazy hormones can make a woman when she’s pregnant and of course it can be higher stress if the pregnancy is unplanned.  Sometimes people make poor decisions when under stress.  It can be hard to think straight/right.   Sometimes it can take some time to come to a good place about being pregnant, maybe even till you have the baby, but you WILL be MUCH happier in the end if you persevere.  Some women do say they don’t feel a connection with their baby until the baby is born or even a little while after.

-Get back into the Word of God if you find yourself straying.  If you are not sure you believe, just ask God to help you with your faith – He will show you and guide you in your life in Him.  He wants us to trust Him and help Him.  He loves us all more than we can imagine (including your baby).  He loves us and helps us.  Cultivate your faith, care for others.  Have people pray for you as well for courage, strength, peace, health, wisdom so you will deliver a healthy baby.

-If you are fearful of the actual birth, discuss this with your dr.  Talk about options of pain meds like epidurals which work great.  Check that your hospital always has someone available to give epidural meds.  Or you can discuss possibly a planned ahead c-section.  But trust in the Lord.

-In crisis pregnancies, please keep in mind that there are churches and pregnancy crisis or resource centers that can help with many aspects such as food, diapers, some medical costs, daycare, job/housing assistance – these people want to help you!

-If you are young and afraid your parents will be upset, they will likely get over it eventually – this is their grandchild after all – and if they don’t get over it – well, you will still be happier than if you abort.  If you feel it is truly best to give the child up for adoption, that is so admirable to be able to help a couple who is so full of love to give a child to raise as their own.

-Please beware of on-line forums out there that only discuss or promote negativity.  Don’t get or stay wrapped up in that.

-Do not kid yourself –  this is indeed the life of a new person growing inside you.  Women have been given the privilege of giving birth to new life and we must protect that.

“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”  -Mother Teresa

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”  – Mother Teresa

(If you or someone you know has already had an abortion, Jesus offers his grace and forgiveness to every repentant heart.  All we have to do is ask and begin to trust in His mercy.    A great 20th century apostle of Divine Mercy, St. Faustina, recorded in her Diary the consoling words of Jesus:  I want “all souls to trust in the unfathomable abyss of My mercy, because I want to save them all.”  And He assured her that “the greater the misery of a soul, the greater its right to My mercy.”)
